NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. today reported fourth-quarter earnings of $133.5 million.
The company said it had net income of $4.69 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $5.58 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $5.18 per share.
The Mexican food chain posted revenue of $1.96 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Twelve analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.95 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $653 million, or $22.90 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.55 billion.
