Four Dubuque County entities were recognized at a state tourism conference.

Travel Dubuque, National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, Beyond the Game and the City of Balltown each received awards from Iowa Economic Development Authority and Travel Iowa at the 2022 Iowa Tourism Conference in Des Moines, according to a press release.

The river museum received the Outstanding Attraction of the Year award in the metro category. The press release notes new offerings created by the museum to help drive business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beyond the Game received the Outstanding Event of the Year award in the rural category. The event provided a range of experiences surrounding the Major League Baseball game held at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville.

The City of Balltown received the Outstanding Community award in the rural category. The press release notes the city’s reputation for its hospitality, views of the Mississippi River and Breitbach’s Country Dining, the state’s oldest bar and restaurant.

Travel Dubuque received the Outstanding Promotional Material award in the metro category for its 2022 Travel Guide.
