Officials with a Dubuque-based trucking company have announced the planned acquisition of eight new stores in Tennessee and Kentucky.
McCoy Group Inc. will acquire the John Deere Construction and Forestry stores from Meade Tractor Inc., with the purchase expected to be finalized in early October. The acquisition will bring the total number of McCoy Group-operated construction and forestry John Deere stores to 24, according to a press release.
The current employees at the Meade Tractor construction and forestry locations will be retained as part of the acquisition.
McCoy Group is the parent company of five subsidiaries: Truck Country, Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer, Foodliner, Quest Liner and McCoy Construction & Forestry.
“We are proud and excited to announce another expansion with our John Deere division,” McCoy Group President and CEO Greg McCoy said in the release. “A continued thanks to all McCoy Group employees that make these opportunities possible.”
