A Dubuque-based company is expanding into Michigan.

McCoy Group has reached an agreement to acquire TNT Trailer Sales. The semi-trailer dealership is located in Wayne, Mich., a suburb of Detroit.

The acquisition should be finalized yet this spring, according to a press release from McCoy Group. It will be managed as part of Stoops Quality Trailer, a subsidiary of McCoy Group.

“The purchase of TNT Trailer Sales is a natural acquisition for Stoops Quality Trailer, as we looked to expand our business impression,” said Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer President Brian McCoy in the release.

TNT Trailer Services will retain its name, the release states, and all of its 32 employees will remain following the acquisition.
