MOLINE, Ill. — Deere & Co. today reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $2.1 billion.
On a per-share basis, the company said it had net income of $6.81.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $6.65 per share.
The agricultural equipment manufacturer posted revenue of $13.37 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $12.03 billion, falling short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $13.44 billion.
