Delivery service signals impending loss of 45 Dubuque jobs

A Dubuque delivery business soon will close with layoffs to begin next month.

Dauntless Delivery recently filed a layoff notice with Iowa Workforce Development notifying the department of its plan to lay off 45 employees in Dubuque starting June 11.

U.S. Department of Transportation data states Dauntless Delivery employs 110 drivers to deliver general freight and Amazon packages. According to the Iowa State Secretary’s Office, the business is based in Wadsworth, Ill.

The Iowa notice was filed in compliance with the national Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act and lists the cause of the layoffs as a closure. It does not list a reason for the closure, and attempts to reach the company Friday were unsuccessful.
