A Dubuque-headquartered business has been acquired by a Chicago-based company.
Redwood Logistics, a supply chain orchestration and logistics execution company, recently announced the acquisition of Rockfarm Supply Chain Solutions, located at 300 Data Court. Rockfarm, founded in 2008, is a transportation logistics company with about 80 employees.
A press release states that Rockfarm ownership, leadership, management and team members will continue to work as Redwood team members, and the Dubuque facility will operate as a Redwood Logistics center.
The release states that the acquisition will “expand capabilities” for Redwood customers, as well as add capabilities in international freight forwarding, trade compliance and customs brokerage.
“Rockfarm’s integration with Redwood places us at the forefront of technological advancements and industry trends, setting a new standard for innovation and progress,” said Todd Colin, formerly Rockfarm’s CEO and now Redwood’s chief integration officer. “From our valued clients to our accomplished employees and esteemed partners, everyone stands to benefit from the expanded expertise and comprehensive freight management and brokerage solutions we now offer.”
