MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills Inc. today reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $660.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the company said it had net income of $1.08. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 84 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 77 cents per share.
The maker of Cheerios cereal, Yoplait yogurt and other packaged foods posted revenue of $4.54 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.51 billion.
