CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble Co. today reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $4.22 billion.
The Cincinnati-based company said it had net income of $1.66 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.65 per share.
The world’s largest consumer products maker posted revenue of $20.95 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $20.32 billion.
