Retired pharmacist, state lawmaker featured at entrepreneurship discussion in Maquoketa

MAQUOKETA, Iowa — A retired pharmacist and state lawmaker will be the featured speaker at a free monthly discussion about entrepreneurship in Maquoketa.

Bob Osterhaus will be featured at “Wednesdays are Possible,” an event held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 5 at 120 S. Main St., according to a press release.

“Wednesdays are Possible” are held jointly by Jackson County Economic Alliance and Innovate 120, an entrepreneurship hub and co-working space in Maquoketa.

The Osterhaus Pharmacy has been in business in Maquoketa for six decades and recently was sold. Former owner Bob Osterhaus also served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1996 through 2004 and held leadership positions with American Pharmaceutical Association and Iowa Pharmacy Association.

Light refreshments will be served.
