ATLANTA — United Parcel Service Inc. today reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.09 billion.
On a per-share basis, the company said it had net income of $3.52. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $3.59 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.11 per share.
The package delivery service posted revenue of $27.77 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $27.18 billion.
UPS expects full-year revenue of $102 billion.
