2 area businesses receive grants to help increase ag-related offerings

MANCHESTER, Iowa — Two area businesses have received State of Iowa grants to increase or diversify their agricultural offerings.

Franklin Street Brewing Co., of Manchester, received $25,000 to help purchase and install a canning line to increase production and purchases of Iowa-grown hops and grains, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, T-A Family Premium Meats, of Marquette, received $25,000 to help construct a retail store to showcase Iowa meats, cheeses and other products.

The businesses were among 13 statewide recipients of the Choose Iowa Marketing and Promotion grants from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
