Rite-Hite announces plans to expand Dubuque operations

A manufacturer with a large Dubuque presence will expand its local operations this year with additional warehouse and manufacturing space.

Rite-Hite has leased 216,000 square feet of space near its existing 330,000-square-foot facility on Chavenelle Road, according to a press release. The current facility will remain in use.

Milwaukee-based Rite-Hite manufactures material handling systems and employs 425 people in Dubuque. The local facility houses engineering and manufacturing for doors, barriers, fans, seals and shelters and DuctSox product lines.

The Dubuque expansion will help Rite-Hite warehouse and manufacture more products. Staff will begin moving into the new building this month, continuing throughout 2025.

“Initially, we expect 15-20 of our Iowa colleagues to move into this expansion,” Jamie Richmond, Rite-Hite’s president of international and global operational excellence, said in the press release. “We’ll also bring together some of our smaller off-site locations in the vicinity to operate collaboratively out of this new space.”
