TOKYO — Honda Motor Co. today reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $2.72 billion.

On a per-share basis, the Tokyo-based company said it had profit of $1.58.

The automaker posted revenue of $36.12 billion in the period.

Honda shares have climbed almost 2% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased slightly more than 8% in the past 12 months.
