CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell Soup Co. today reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $96 million.
The company said it had net income of 32 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 56 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 56 cents per share.
The maker of canned soup, Pepperidge Farm cookies and V8 juice posted revenue of $1.99 billion in the period, topping Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.98 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $757 million, or $2.51 per share. Revenue was reported as $8.56 billion.
Campbell expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.85 to $2.95 per share.
