Dubuque’s casinos saw a decrease in combined gaming revenue last month, though one casino saw a slight increase.
Diamond Jo Casino and Q Casino reported a combined $10.44 million in gaming revenue in October, down 9.6% from the October 2021 total of $11.54 million.
The numbers were shared this week at a board meeting for the DRA, the nonprofit license holder for Dubuque’s casinos.
Diamond Jo reported $6.04 million in gaming revenue last month, a drop from $7.16 million in October 2021. Q Casino generated $4.40 million in October, up just slightly from $4.38 million in the same period the previous year.
“It’s been another great month for Q Casino,” Brian Rakestraw, Q Casino chief operations financial officer, said at the meeting. “We’re having a great year. So far, this month is also looking excellent for us.”
