MANCHESTER, Iowa — An owner with a track record of success recently opened a new pizza restaurant in Manchester.

Joe Steinbron opened his third Joe’s Pizza location in the former Eagles Club building at 110 N. Franklin St. Steinbron opened his first location in Jesup in 1983 and another in Independence in 2019. It’s a family affair that has had all five of the Steinbron children working in the restaurants.

Steinbron gave Manchester a look after a suggestion from his son’s girlfriend.

“She said she thought the community was ready for a Joe’s Pizza location,” she said. “We came here and looked around and loved it.”

Joe’s Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The menu includes pizza, calzones, breadsticks, dessert pizza, appetizers and salads.

For ice cream lovers, Joe’s Pizza serves Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream from Madison, Wis.

“It’s very good ice cream. We have people who stop in just for that,” Steinbron said, adding, “We’re excited to be here. Come in and see us. The people in town have been incredibly friendly and supportive. We love it here.”
