The City of Dubuque’s Economic Development Department is taking applications for grants aimed at helping low- and moderate-income business owners.
Grants of up to $3,000 will be available to help business owners pay for current expenses and “develop strategies for continued success,” a press release states. Recipients will be matched with a business mentor and will participate in a career and professional development program facilitated by Fountain of Youth, with which the city is partnering to administer the grant.
To be eligible for the program, business owners must live in a low- or moderate-income household in the city, have fewer than five employees and have a business that has operated for at least six months.
The city will start taking applications on July 1. Those who want more information or want to apply for a grant can visit cityofdubuque.org/econdev or call 563-564-5686.
